I’m new to this but trying to learn. What in the pictures points to an MB as opposed to a CJ2? What should be asked of the seller to confirm MB from a distance? What’s a reasonable price for this? Thanks!

I’ll give it a shot…flat (mb) military rear tool box lids are visible , full floater rear axle (big hub like the front hubs), no gas filler on drivers side of body (tank filler under drivers seat), short windshield…this jeep has incorrect civilian grill…because there’s no military glove box, it’s likely an early ‘slat-grill’ jeep, ’41 or early ’42…

P.S….If this jeep was located near Vermont, at $1500, it would be in my garage already.

Looks like a post war engine. Has a ribbed head. The body may have been modified a bit. No axe and shovel indents. No taillight holes or notch where the pintle goes. Hard to tell, but should have Willys on the back panel if it is a slat.

David, my name is Frank. I’d really appreciate it if you’d give me a phone call, I’m in Beloit.
    (608) 346-8665 This is my cell so no long d charges. I’d like to ask you a few questions about the jeep you have in the pictures.
    Thank you.

    Hi Frank,

It looks like this jeep has sold. I’ve updated the post. (I run eWillys, but the jeep wasn’t mine). If you have questions, feel free to email me at d@deilers.com.

Frank, I know Beloit is near Eau Claire. My dad was from that area (Glenwood City) and went to college at Menomonee, so we spent time there on family vacations as a kid.
Not a great place to own a open Jeep (at least in the winter).
