Alright, I’m curious. Is this an M38 soft top modified with snaps to fit a 2a windshield? I’m looking to do something similar, but not sure it’ll work.
To me it looks like an older top, so it may well have been originally designed to fit a CJ-2A. The early soft tops for a 2A were canvas. In fact, there was an adapter package that could be added to the top of an MB/GPW windshield to allow it to wear a 2A top.
I suppose, theoretically, a person could have an extra flap sown over or under the cj-3a top lip (the lip used to attach the top to a 3A windshield). If could give the option of using either a 2A or 3A windshield.
