    Thomas,

As Seth noted above, it was pulled from eBay. No bids were made. I could not find it relisted there either.

Hello Dave- We’ve relisted our ’61 FJ3 back on eBay due to buyer(s) not fulfilling their obligations on eBay. They basically didn’t come up with the money they bid. This FJ3 is a great running vehicle that we’ve spent a lot of time and money on. Thanks for your assistance!

Not surprised that the “BUYER was a DEADBEAT”, seems to be the story on eBay. Just some food for thought; As a big fan of these fleetvans, and having driven one for years in a previous job, (FJ3A civilian model left hand steering & a bit longer} People dump a lot of money into restoration of these Post Office Fleetvans. Considering the amount of money & time spent, converting it to left hand drive would be preferred method of drive and relatively inexpensive to do. This would also increase “BUYER APPEAL”. The right hand drive has to be a big deterrent to potential buyers.

Some years ago, High Point Chevrolet in Sussex, NJ had a 1962 Willys wagon with right hand drive for sale, I took at look at it and made an offer. Checking it out, I realized it would be very easy to convert this to left hand drive with the use of stock parts. After all . this is what Willys Jeep hand in mind when they placed the speedometer in the middle of the dash.

Hi, I’d like to help clarify information of FJ3 Postal and The FJ3A Commercial Delivery Fleetvans.
I have documents from the gentleman in the manufacturing company Highway Products Corp – Kent Ohio, outside Toledo. He was responsible for tracking production serial numbers.
Production of the FJ3 Postal version exceeded 6000 – Ill get those docs out and update.
Notice the serial number on this blue one is 5800plus.
He states that at the end of production run on the FJ3A (19′ longer and LH drive) the Upper management told him to not bother recording the numbers but to the best of his records and knowledge, there were 839 FJ3A’s produced. Gary K. manchester tn. (Green 1962 FJ3A).

If anyone has pictures or documents from factory, I’d like to buy originals or copies. Thank You.

Thanks for that information Gary. It was never clear to me the precise difference between the FJ-3 and FJ-3A nor did I know of any production numbers. If you can supply me with some more info, I’d be happy to do a post on this. I’m sure many other folks aren’t very knowledgeable about FJs either. If interested, feel free to contact me at d@ewillys.com .
