It’s obvious Mr. Hainer is very talented and I was looking forward to watching these videos but I gave up. The rapid movement of the camera combined with the out of focus detail shots made it difficult for me to see how he’d fix this hood. If the camera was left on a tripod while Mr. Hainer explained what he was doing while he performed his metal magic I feel these videos would be of high value to anyone wanting to learn about sheet metal repair. I really wish I lived next door to Mr. Hainer so I could get lessons on how to repair damaged sheet metal but unless one of us moves I don’t think this will be possible. I appreciate your metal working skills Mr. Hainer but you’re videos make me dizzy.

This chap is an artist, no doubt. I had no trouble watching this at all. I remember years ago at a swap meet a fellow was selling these shrink wheels. Now I know how they are used. A short video on how he fills the holes by welding would be great. I had a 50 Mercury years ago and the body man brazed holes with brass. The camera moving did not represent a problem for me. I am a retired forty year duration carpenter so metal work has always amazed me. Thanks, Dave for posting this, and thanks Brian for sharing your genius. You are a wizard. S.

This amazed me as well…I have hole filling with a mig welder down pretty well, but not metal shrinking. Ive done some with a torch but perhaps should get a disc. This jeepster I’m working on has a few rough places that will need it.
