“I have a 1961 Jeep Willys CJ3B Jeep for sale . It is the ” high hood ” Jeep with the 4cyl. Hurricane engine. The jeep has recieved quite a bit of love since I bought it. The engine was completly re-built, new clutch, new brakes , new front end steering components , new shocks, new leaf springs, new e-brake cable, new dash cluster, new seats and military grade canvas cushions, new muffler, new fuel tank, sending unit, fuel pump . Tires are in great shape, the four wheel drive works just fine, Jeep starts right up everytime. It has been very dependable for me. It has a three speed standard transmission. My priority was to make sure all the mechanical items were in great condition. The Jeep is as it looks in the pictures, I do not have a top or doors to go with it . The frame is in very good condition and the body is not to bad. It is a great summer time cruiser. I would like to sell it so I can look for a Jeep Scrambler. No trades unless it’s a Jeep Scarmbler. Thanks for looking ! Feel free t

Wonder if that’s a reproduction tub or a lot of things have been changed. Seats aren’t correct for a late gen 3b. It has got a high price tag

No, the only body with the toolboxes in the rear fender wells were the MBs/GPWs. I am speculating, but one reason the CJ-2A may have gone away with the tool box in the rear was because of the extra support needed for the spare times. Again, speculating, maybe W-O also determined that the rear boxes weren’t used much?

I contacted the owner last week. Its an MB tub mated to the front clip of a 3B…thus the tool boxes over fender wells and the tool indentations on the driver side. He did say the seats were an issue when he was looking for some. My concern would be fitting a top to it. How do you figure that one out?

I think a CJ-3B top and doors should work fine? I’m sure I can find some measurements on a standard CJ-3B body/windshield/etc for comparison. From the outside it looks like he did a good job. I like it because it’s a little different.

I kind of like it too…sort of looks like an M606 should look like with the tool indentations and the boxes over the fender wells. I bet some folks would look at you pretty funny if you militarized it and showed up at a show with it! It is half military anyway.
