Just clearcoat it like is done with rat rods to seal the rust.
Worried about the rust? What about the booze? My mom was glad I got addicted to rust, the booze came much later. Still more addicted to rust, but the booze makes me come up with great ideas on what to do with the rusty stuff I bring home.
