Jim’s sold and shipped a variety of jeeps over the past decade. I imagine the cut hood and lower grill was meant to add visibility, but I can’t say for sure.

“The perplexed look on peoples faces when they see 4 shifters sticking up through the floor board is priceless. I’ve owned this Jeep for nearly 5 years with no plans to ever sell it but with a family of 4 (+3 dogs) I never drive it. On top of that we’re building a house at 8100 ft on the mountain and without a garage I can’t stand to see it sit outside anymore. This Jeep was professionally built, no “hack work” on this rig. Adult owned, never abused, I’ve only driven it to town and on the back roads around the lake where I live.

Options and Equipment: Less than 1000 miles on rebuilt Chevy 283 V8 (60psi oil pressure) rams head manifolds, dual exhaust (very quiet) aluminum radiator, power steering, boxed frame, 9000lb winch, 32″ Procomp tires, lift kit, springs, shocks, rear locking diff (can’t remember if front is locked) superwinch hubs, dual fuel tanks, 3 speed transmission, twin stick transfer case with gear splitter overdrive between them giving you a choice of 12 forward gears and 4 reverse. Custom built rear bumper with receiver hitch and hand made aluminum swing out cooler rack. The high back seats are covered in heavy duty marine grade vinyl, full roll cage, 4 point harnesses and more that I’m forgetting.

This Jeep starts, runs, drives, shifts and stops excellent, very tight, will run down the highway at 60 mph dead straight with one finger on the wheel. Everything works as it should including the parking brake. This Jeep deserves a garage, it deserves be taken care of and appreciated. If you’re looking for something to abuse, beat on or “rock crawl” please don’t buy this Jeep.

Been sitting in storage for nearly 3 years, I just drained both fuel tanks, filled w/non ethanol gas, went through the carb, new battery, replaced the plugs, changed the oil, filters, tuned up etc.

I have a set of aftermarket Bestop soft doors and top frame that needs new cloth as a packrat ate through it while in my shed.

My Hi Lift jack and vintage shovel are not included in sale.

Though in excellent shape, this is a used 58 year old custom built Jeep and as you would expect there are imperfections, scratches, dings, wear, etc.

There is a little rust spot under the paint on the drivers floor board, I can see a little bondo under the paint in the bed and there some old rust in the hat channels underneath (see photos) SW Colorado is very dry, it has not changed in the time I’ve owned it but it needs to be noted.

The paint needs to be cut and buffed, has oxidation and a few scratches but will shine up very nice.

The transfer case is wet from sitting, as where the brakes, checked and filled everything.

Throw-out bearing makes some noise sometimes, usually when its cold.

I really cant think of too many things to pick on, this is a great rig and will make someone very happy to own it.”

Believe me I thought about it but there is no such thing as a “cheap” garage up here. At 8100 ft we get a ton of snow, 24 inches overnight is not unusual, cheap means flattened by Mother Nature where I live, lol. With kids my rigs have gotten much larger, 8000lb 4 WD extended vans and such. Jim
