“Basket Case Jeep project Parts Kit.
Contains:
1 – 1953 CJ5
1 – M38a1 Military Jeep
1 – 1974 CJ5

Have titles for the 1953 and 1974 CJ5’s.
All are basket cases or parts vehicles, none of these run or move.

The 1953 Jeep CJ5 W/title:

Stock F-Head 4-cyl 3-spd Dana model 18 T-case
Original rear axle w/5.38 gears.
Front axle housing had been removed but comes with, missing brake parts.
Some one started some kind of a power steering conversion and axle swap then lost interest.
Jeep has been sitting for a long time, engine still turns, could easily run yet.
Body – front fenders are soft/crunchy. Hood and grill are ok.
Rest of body is super solid – made from 11-gage steel, from the floor up!
Body is prett well done, and looks pretty good. Very solid and super strong.

M38a1 Military Jeep – 1952-1957, No title.

Body is quite respectable. but does need floor pans and other body work. But quite worthy.
Still has a lot of the original Military O.D. paint on the bottom side and frame.
No motor or axles. Does have a newer T14 3-spd and Dana 20 T-case. Had a 225 V6 swap.
2″ lift springs.
Has most of the body bits n pieces that are unique to the M38a1’s.
Missing all wiring and gages etc.
Somebody added a tailgate, but did a nice job.

1974 CJ5 W/title:

Extreme rust bucket with axles and suspension.
Was a V8 3-spd. No motor, T15 3-spd and Dana 20 T-case goes with.
Dana 44 rear axle and open knuckle drum brake Dana 30 front.
3.73 Gears front n rear.
Hood and grill are ok rest of body pretty much shot.
Frame is rusted to junk.
Has a lot of handy parts, bit n pieces.

Other misc. bits n pieces I have gathered over the years that go with too.

A person could use the axles from the 74 and the motor/tranny from the 53
to get the M38a1 up and running and have a fun little Jeep to enjoy.
The 53 Tub would make a great off-road toy body, no rocker guards or corner guards needed.
The 74 is just support parts.

$1400 for all. Might seperate, Make offer.

If this listing is still up, these Jeeps are still available. Do not contact me by only asking if they are still available.
And include some contact info, if you want me to call you.”

I was wondering that, too. It also has no “Jeep” markings, suggesting it may be an M-38A1 or it has been patched/reskinned.
