Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “I have a 1950’s Willy’s Jeep Koenig Twin Stick Model 40 PTO, ID number WO48-202, WO48-201. It’s completely froze up. However appears to be complete. $50 firm. Give me a call (Leave a message if I don’t answer) or shoot me a text.”
Well you can mark this as sold. I emailed the guy and picked it up this morning after I got off work.
As for the $50.00 firm, he didn’t have any change and all I had was $20.00 bills and some $1.00 bills. I ended up paying $44.00 for it.
It is all froze up and nothing moves. I think with some time and some PB Blaster it will free up and move so I can rebuild it. I’m planning on using it in one of my future Willys wagon builds. It will be a long time before that starts due to the fact that I don’t even have a wagon yet 🙂
This was probably one of my best Craig’s list scores in a very long time.
