UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $7500.

This appeared to be sold earlier this year. It looks like it’s been freshened up a bit.

“1963 Willys Jeep FC170 – 4×4, former Fire Dept support truck from Pennsylvania, dealer installed Stahl Utility Body with keys to all the locks, low miles, original and stock condition including front wheel fiberglass flares and big old amber roof beacon. NEW: oil pump, new carb, gas tank flushed with new filler neck hoses, full ignition tune-up, new clutch assembly, new master cylinder & brakes & copper-nickle brake lines, new tires & alignment, new battery, headlights and brake lights work, seats just professionally reupholstered, starts right up, runs, drives, and stops. Still needs: vacuum wipers and turn signals don’t work, shifter is sloppy, makes some noise in first gear, needs door weatherstripping. Has some rust around inside of windshield, the bottom of one box, spots on doors, minor on bottom behind seats but front & rear cab corners are good, passenger door window is cracked but complete and operates fine, windshield is cloudy around the edges. No title, Maine doesn’t issue titles before 1995. I have previous registrations. Some spare parts included. Too many projects, time for someone else to take it to the next level. $7500 or best reasonable offer. This is a 55 year old project truck. If you’re idea of an old jeep is a YJ Wrangler this isn’t the project for you. I’m happy to answer any reasonable questions but do some research before contacting me and don’t make a crazy-low offer. This isn’t a reality TV show. ”

This seems like about the ideal setup for a 170. More cubes in the bed and storage externally for all that necessary camping and hunting equipment.

Dave … to me it looks like the rubber gasket has slipped down a little. Looks like dirt and surface rust just above the windshield gasket.

    Hi Veronica,

It looks like this one sold. Given the price, I’m not surprised it sold quickly. I’ve updated the post.

I used to do fleet service for big trucks and aerial bucket lift repair . this fc-utility body would have been great for that .. I was born in 53 , don’t remember fc’s in the willys showroom ? — sir Edmund Hillary and tenzing Norgay summited Everest in 53 , that’s what I do remember …

Is this vehicle on the market? If so, I would be interested in having a discussion. Thanks! Sincerely,
    Dave

    Dave,
I purchased this 170 with the intent of restoring it. Of course other things came up and it still sits in this condition. You can contact me at 762-229-9509 if you are still interested.
