This pile is well traveled, 1200.00 last year in Steamboat Springs, CO
2500.00 six months ago in Evergreen,CO. same photo’s each time.
Right outside the storage unit in Steamboat Springs. I agree it’s not a
bad project, just gets around that’s all.

willys s. wagon ? — what kind of stupid name is that ? — I like those old 5 slot mags — I have a set for my 67 cj-6 v-6 — I still cry about the 1962 cj-6 perkins diesel I missed in eastern Colorado — just found some pics of it , it had a Kelly all steel half cab — needs a complete restoration , basterd wanted $6500 for it – 10 FREAKIN YEARS AGO !!! — then he said if I bought it , he would deliver it to Salinas , calif , NEXT SPRING AFTER HE CAME BACK FROM MEXICO TO DELIVER SOME OTHER WRECKS !!! — and I had to pay up front and wait — of course I could have driven out to COLORADO and snagged it — 1200 miles ? — oh well , haven’t seen another cj-6 diesel since — and probably never will — I had the cash for it and blew it all on wine women and ebay trinkets , high altitude climbing tents , rare old custom made knives and willys literature … boo hoo …

A friend of mine has a CJ-6 diesel. It had been sitting in a field for years, but the body was still in good shape. He picked it up for almost nothing. It didn’t take him much to get the engine running. He ran that thing around the Cascades in Washington and in the Colorado area. Unfortunately, a freak thing caused a water leak that led to the engine overheating. After a bunch of searching, we found another Perkins. If it isn’t running already, it will be soon.

The perkins isn’t running yet, but it’s on the list. Been too busy with work and keeping flatfenders running to take apart the CJ-6.

I know you’ve been busy! Btw, I’ll be around from the 20th through the 27th at Mom and Dad’s.
