“I bought this Jeep around 2012 from a person in Ivins who had it sitting in his yard for 25 years. He replaced the engine with a known good running engine when he first got it. He turned the engine by hand a couple of times a year to keep it free.
I put a lot of work into it around 2012/2013
I lost interest, and it has literally sat outside here in Ivins since 2013. It’s still in similar shape, but I’m sure there’s a bit more rust. I never put it back together, so it’s in pieces right now.

For the most part it’s pretty clean. I scrubbed, and painted the engine, transfer case, and tranny. I got most of the crud off the frame and other parts too, so it’s ready for mainly mechanical/body work at this point.

(I have an album of about 200 pictures from 2013 when I did the work. It won’t allow me to post it here, email me for the link. It shows a lot of detail of what has been done.)

The body is RUSTY, but it could be fixed up if the time were put into it.
The fenders are okay, some rust in the channel hat, but very good otherwise.
Same for the grill.
I have a scrap/junk engine that comes with it (I’m guessing it was the original engine that came with the Jeep). It’s been sitting outside with the head off for decades.
The frame rails are a little bent in the front, but I wasn’t going to fix them until I tried driving it. Since I only planned on it being a grocery getter, and not using it on the freeway, it didn’t seem like it would matter. They are bent, though. The frame is in pretty good shape otherwise. Mainly just surface rust, but I haven’t really looked at it for years.
I had the starter worked on here in town and they got it working. It’s a six volt, like the rest of the Jeep.
The engine was a bit seized when I first tried to turn it, so I took the head off and cleaned the cylinders up. It looked good enough to run so I put it back together and planned on trying to start it, but never got around to it. I have some video of the engine torn apart. If you’re serious, I can send you the video.

I don’t really want to sell it, but I hate seeing it sit, and I just don’t have the motivation to work on it anymore.

$2,500.

Sold as is, not running, and you’ll need a trailer to get it home. It has studded tires on it that are falling apart. The main pieces I believe are all here.

It was so long ago that I worked on it that I’m not sure I can answer anything specific, but email me if you do have questions, or want to come look at it. It’s in my yard in Ivins. Please be serious if you do want to look or have questions.
