1946 VEC CJ2A, #13528. Has military tub, axles, and windshield frame. Frame off restoration. FHead installed with low rise Holley 1908 carb to use original hood. Running L-head included. Hard top and soft top included. Frame POR15 painted. Body had few patches welded in, floors and floor braces new. Primed in epoxy paint. MSD 6a ignition. Harrison heater. Transmission, transfer, axles have all new seals and bearings. High capacity aluminum radiator. Column shifter originally, converted to floor. Column shift still in vehicle.

Have extra housings for D18 and T90. Both T90’s are side shift, have original shift forks. The extra D18 has not been torn apart and internals are unknown. The spare T90 has many newer parts, but I think the cluster gear, although new, is an Omix and out of spec. 12V with alternator and turn signals. Rewired, untidy, needs cleaned up, but everything works minus fuel gauge. Rear cargo rack. Rear seat not an original, fab job by yours truly. Tires are ok, not superb. have a 5th with rim for spare, is flat. Needs fan shroud. Clean PA title. Hate to sell it, but got a ’49 and a ’62 keeping me busy and three kids in college. Runs, drives, shifts, and leaks like a Willys-not much to do to make it perfect.

Full floating rear axle up to #13453. Someone changed the semi float to full float if indeed the serial is #13528

I was wondering about that as well. We have seen a few instances where things like this skip serial numbers, so it’s not outside the realm of possibility that it is original, given how close the serial numbers are.

Apart from that, I’m not sure what documentation was used to pinpoint the full floater at #13453 (though it’s a number I’ve relied upon)? It’s been almost 18 years (yikes) since that history was written, so maybe it wasn’t quite that number after all? I am told that the indents was an example of one that skipped a few jeeps (hence the “about #29500” reference https://www.thecj2apage.com/history.html)
