“Truck’s features:
– Super body. It spent most of its life in west Texas. After it was moved to Massachuesetts, it was never driven in the winter. No known Bondo. Very little rust – see the photos.
– GM 350 automatic transmission plus a Saturn overdrive and a 2 speed transfer case, giving 12 gears forward and 4 in reverse. Transfer case rebuilt with Timken bearings and special intermediate gear using tapered roller bearing instead of stock needle bearings (lasts much longer).
– Front steering rebuilt, including steering box. New front springs & shocks.
– Power brakes. Front auto-adjusting brakes newly rebuilt. Electric wiper motor.
– Holley Projection electronic fuel injection (EFI).
– Includes the missing sheet metal “bed skirts” under the bed (are in primer paint).
– The truck is the relatively rare early 50’s model with the split windshield, the small back window, and the “W” embossed on the tailgate.
– Clean title (Massachusetts)

Major Yet-to-do’s:
-The truck runs, but the EFI needs turning – I do not have the time (or much experience) to do this. (Worst case, you can replace the EFI with a common Chevy 2 or 4 barrel carburetor and sell the EFI for parts). A Holley EFI manual comes with the truck.
– Tires have less than 2,000 miles on them (the 2 spares have never been used), but are old. They are “E” rated so they are very strong plus show no cracking – they will be useful until the truck is ready to drive, but then you will need to replace them.
– Some sheet metal on the floor of the cab needs to be installed to cover the transmission. A sheet metal pattern and some sheet metal are included. Also includes a rubber floor mat to cover the sheet metal.
– The alternator pooped out last week. It’s a 1-wire Chevy unit and should be easy to replace.
– The truck is being sold as a 2-wheel drive vehicle. The front drive shaft (included) has an interference point with the 350 transmission and is not installed. Your options will be: 1) Keep the truck as it is – it can run fine in 2WD and do your really want to beat up this nice truck by going 4 wheeling? 2) Install a different automatic; or 3) Retrofit a standard stick-shift transmission (like some really low geared Chevy truck 4 speed).

For this price, you can afford to deal with these issues and still be financially ahead – check out the Willys truck prices on ebay. Truck must be bought and picked up by 11/19/2018. Sorry, but no personal checks or credit card payments.”

Very strait, very rust free, underside is almost as good, I was excited about buying this truck from an engineer who kept meticulous records and made improvements that were well thought out. Have some work to do but way ahead of my 62 Willys pickup!
