“1947 Willys CJ2A Jeep with 1947 Bantam trailer. Experience the vehicle that started it all, completely restored inside and out. Every nut and bolt is either original or exact replacement (size, thread pitch, head configuration) comes with complete 11 piece multiple configuration canvas top and bows.

Has been driven occasionally, I’m getting too old to get in and out of this thing. It will go just about anywhere. 12 forward speeds and 4 in reverse (high and low range plus Warn Overdrive. 7 new tires (6.00 x 16 military) all worn parts replaced. It does leak a bit of oil (I’ve never seen a Jeep that didn’t) I have many spare parts and accessories that will go with the Jeep if sold at full price. I’ve driven this to 12,000 feet in the Rockies and it ran perfectly all the way up and down.

There are some variation to original that I chose to make. It has a 12 volt alternator, I replaced the points with electronic ignition (can’t see it unless you take the distributor cap off). I have a dual circuit master cylinder for safety (again, can’t be seen unless you crawl underneath with a mirror) Warn overdrive (wasn’t available in 1947) Dualmatic front hubs (again, not in ’47) and the insides of the oil bath air cleaner has been gutted and replaced with a paper air filter. Has a heater and vacuum wiper on the driver’s side (manual on passenger side)

My thought on making the changes was “What would someone have done to this in the middle 1950’s when this was just a used Jeep?” The odometer reads ~ 35,000 miles, I have no idea if it’s original after 71 years, but it might be, I can’t imaging driving this for 35K miles. I’m ready to rest after 250. Not something for touring the US (although some brave souls back then did)”

Amazing set-up here and *very* well done. I have the multi piece canvas top on my rig (a 3A) as well and I love it. -Same grey color too. Lots of time and money into this build with useful mods too.

    Great job!

Another seller selling an overpriced jeep quoting NADA values , also seller states ” leaks a bit of oil , I’ve never seen a jeep that didn’t ” well , I own several Willys that are driven often and do not leak . For $34 grand .it should be fixed right .
