UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5900.

This runs and stops. It still needs some work. The body has been painted, so the pics were taken over time.

“Selling for a friend of mine a 1952 Willys jeep m38. The m38 is a limited production military jeep, often referred to the best of the flatfender jeeps. This one is a project but comes with most of the parts needed to complete it including an orginal body tub that has had all the metal work completed. The jeep does run, drive, and stop”

The jeep does not have the repaired tub on it. However it is a great jeep that comes with most of the things needed to finish it. It runs really well. Yes I am the one that made the posting.

To the seller ,and other sellers who post only on facebook , only buyers who do facebook can contact you , not every one has a face book account .

    Bill: Thanks for the update!

Terry: That’s been my hesitation about posting facebook links, but there are too many jeeps on FB to ignore them (and, content in January is hard enough to find as it is). I have helped folks who don’t have FB accounts make contact with FB ads on occasion. …. Facebook can be a useful platform for keeping in contact with distant family members and friends. Unfortunately, FB makes the most money through divisiveness (results in more ad revenue and more frequent visits) and bad actors have seized on that aspect. Former early investor and Zuckerberg mentor Roger McNamee wrote a fascinating article on this issue (which I can no longer locate .. he has a book called “Zucked” coming out soon). Of course, the whole data mining and selling is another issue of big concern, but FB is hardly a lone player in this issue.

I usually list on Facebook and Craigslist. However currently I have more luck selling on facebook so this m38 is only listed on facebook right now.

How very timely……in the last week, two Jeeps have shown up on this website that are from Facebook postings. I do not have a Facebook account and may never have one. My wife does have an account and stays in touch with a few friends. It does however cause some problems in our marriage related to “compare despair”. On a weekly basis, my wife will mention things such as “Couple #1 are having a fabulous time in Phoenix……Couple #2 are eating shrimp in the Gulf off Texas…….Couple #3 just got a new Audi ……..we even have one friend celebrating her grandson’s first day of successful potty training !!

Back to Jeeps……my wife came home from running errands an hour ago and I finally got up the courage to ask her to sit down with me this afternoon and contact the two people with the Jeeps thru her Facebook account. My plan is to have her send a Facebook message……get a phone number or email and I can contact thru the “normal” methods of communication. Could be an interesting Friday night !!
