TJ shared a link from Hemmings on a “This or That” article, meaning if you could only choose one, which one would you choose. Most folks on Hemmings leaned toward the Willys truck. I think I might be more partial to the Chevy (heresy, I know).

Too bad real world market prices dont reflect the reader’s opinions. Nice to hear a group of knowledgable folks recognize our disease is not without cause. Note to wives: SEEEE???!!!

That can’t be a real 1958-1959 Chev pickup…..it actually has complete fenders intact above the headlights !! Until they finally rusted out…..the front eyebrows of those fenders could hold easily 20lbs. of dirt and gravel. I went thru three of those in my formative years…..all great little workhorses with the 235 6cyl. and 4spd with granny low.

Just for a change of pace……I would take the Willys !

One thing there is no doubt about, they used beautiful colors back then with real flair. Most cars/trucks today simply wouldn’t look right in many of the colors from the 50’s, sadly.

    I’ve got three jeeps,,, a 46 CJ2A, a 61 CJ3B and a 70 jeep Wagoneer. Also got 1954 International Harvester R 140 (1 1/4 ton) and R 160 (1 1/2 ton) factory 4×4’s. Great trucks, robust and fit a 6’4″ person easily. I love anything with gas and oil… lol.
