Pascal, it looks like it is just sitting on the back of a CJ frame to me.
Pascal, I agree with Doug on this, but I can see what you mean. We need some visual confirmation with this one.
I have seen this one in person , a year or so ago. If I remember correctly I was thinking it slid in up to the seats.

That is a neat extender also. But that looks like it works more like a drawer. This box is roughly 5 feet long I believe. So maybe a couple of feet in and a couple out. If you were hauling some dirt or similar it would keep it from sliding under seats. I could see a golf course in the 50’s using something like that. And if you balance it right and have some sort of release could make a sort of dumper. Maybe I’ll have to call Lou and check it out again.
I went to see this again. I’m just not a 100 percent if this is for a Jeep or not. 34” wide. Jeep tailgate I’m sure will not fit. Wish I had a Jeep with to see if I could figure out how to make it work.
