UPDATE: Chief Detective SteveK realized this is actually a CJ-3B. I thought it was a poorly done CJ-3A.

I snagged this 5″x7″ postcard off of Craigslist. For some reason it is depicted with a CJ-3B raised hood bump along the top side of the hood.

It is a 3B with a ‘poorly drawn’ high-hood, as it has the short windshield, the “Willys” on the top of the grill, and the data says “72HP”.

This image was discussed several years ago on the 3b page, and the conclusion was made that this was produced before the CJ3B was actually in production, so they did not quite know what it would look like. It was derived from another drawing of a 3a that had been done earlier. What gets me is how wide the fenders look.

Notice how small the man is compared to the Jeep. Is it clever marketing to make the Jeep seem bigger? I know the average citizen was smaller 70 years ago, but not that small.
