Chris snagged this unusual item off of eBay. I’d really like to know when this was produced, because some of the font details are fairly close to the look of the Jeep font in 1945.

I find this interesting, an early example of name brand, cross marketing. Must of been some major soap maker that viewed a potential market for their product. Was it any big name like Lever Brothers, Proctor & Gamble?

A quick search suggested the company was an industrial shop rather than a soap-related shop. I tried to do a better search, but my brain is a bit mushy right now.

I did a search for C.I. Togstad Company and came up with they did spices, food coloring, bottled syrup flavorings and baking powder. There was hints of something about supplying Trade catalogs for machine shops. But this appears to have been an unrelated name/company out of Wisconsin.

Dave & Blaine, Thanks for your time & effort. Interesting how a food based Co. is marketing a soap product.
