This full color print advertisement, was a dramatic change from previous Jeep advertising, featuring a more in tune modern look, women, children along with the NEW V/6 power of the CJ5. This was Kaiser’s marketing strategy to tap modern mainstream America.

Here is a reference to Hoosier on ewillys: http://www.ewillys.com/2013/06/12/1961-truck-pendleton-or-4200/comment-page-1/ I found this because of a mention of ewillys on Binder Planet: http://www.binderplanet.com/forums/index.php?threads/1970-hoosier-machine-products-ad.134907/
And here is a different ad for Hoosier in June 1957 Popular Mechanics, page 28 next to the Warn Hubs ad: https://books.google.com/books? Edgar Hoosier owned the machine shop died in 1966. Scroll down
to find Edgar and Della: http://www.billiter.com/oldjoe/pafg27.htm His wife Della was the bookkeeper.

I still have my 1966 CJ5 V/6,bought it in 1978 for $550.00 with a plow. What a deal that was. I was only 16 years old when I spotted this very Jeep new at Ziggy’s Philip’s 66 Service. From there it went to Al’s Try it you will always buy it, George’s Gulf, plus three more owners before I got it. Many great stories came with this Jeep, save them for another day.
