“This is a 1975 jeep CJ six. This is a pretty rare jeep. It is about 11 inches longer than a CJ seven. And this is the precursor to the Jeep scrambler. It has a 304 inch Motor with a four speed manual transmission. I was told it has an overdrive transmission. The axles have been upgraded. It has some rust in the floor. And some rust in the body mounts underneath. It has rust but it’s not a rust bucket. It has dual exhaust with glass packs and the tires are like new. The jeep does run and drive. It drives lik an old Jeep. The steering needs addressed. It is loose at the steering box. The jeep also smokes. I believe oil is leaking down the valve stem’s so new valve stem seals will need installed in the head. It’s just on the passenger side head so not a lot of work or cost at the machine shop. A pin is broken in the rear axle so it’s front wheel drive right now.
The motor sounds great though. No ticking or knocking and it feels very strong. This is a really fun project for someone. I just traded My RV for it last week thinking that my teenage son would like to have it for high school. He wants my 71 Ford short bed truck instead. I don’t think that’s gonna happen.
$4500 or best offer
I also have an additional drivetrain and three axles that are for sale separately. It is a 258 straight 6 with a four-speed and transfer case and I will have to look and see what the other three axles are. Two are for the front and one
rear.
These are rare. I could only find a couple more of them for sale right now in the country. There is plenty to do on this jeep but it is a great start to a great project”
