“Hello, for sale I have my 1948 Willy’s rat rod. I have put a lot of time and money into this, and just don’t have enough time to finish it up right now. Here’s the story on it.

I bought a 1948 Willy’s Army Jeep, took the tub off and hand it sandblasted. I then purchased original parts for it planning on restoring it to an original army Jeep. So I have special ordered original green military paint for it, original windshield, hood, dash, seat brackets, etc.

I then decided to take the project it a different direction, and purchased a nice 1989 Crown Victoria with 60,000 miles on it, and the Ford 5.0 fuel injected engine. It has coil-over suspension in the front and rear, along with disk brakes.

So I then took the Crown Victoria tub off, scraped it, and shortened the frame and drive line 18″. And botched the Willy’s tub to fit. I then put in mounts and brackets to bolt the tub with rubber mounts to the new shortened frame.

Even though it seems silly, I tore off the fuel injection system, and bought brand new Edelbrock intake manifold, carburetor, exhaust manifolds, and filters for it to convert it over to a carburetored engine. The reason for me doing this is to stay true to the Rat Rod look with the giant carb and filter.

It is all wired up and runs great. Starts right up, sounds awesome.

Here is what this needs to be done!

The brake system is hooked up, you just need to mount the booster with master cylinder to the fire wall and hook up the pedal assembly.

The dash and steering column needs to be set up the way you like, I have all the parts for it.

The rest is up to you, seating, paint, mirrors, cup holders, and all that fun stuff.

I have tons and tons of parts that come with it. I also have a set of 35″ outlaw mud terrain tires that are brand new that I bought for $2,000 for this car. I could include those for extra.

Let me know if you have any questions, I can send pictures and videos of it.

I am asking $3500 for everything! I am into this about $10,000 at least, and a ton of time! I am also open to trade offers. Interested in cars, truck, motorcycles, firearms, etc.”
