Craigslist ad says “Ford Willys Army jeep”. So is it a Ford or Willys? Pics show engine gpw serial number.

Not truly unmolested, I see what appears as body filler or repairs to the axle indentation area also a home made bumper, the fuel tank sump is questionable for a 43 plus other items. Personally I think a little too high. My intentions are not run down the vehicle, but to maybe point out some things that a person might not see, this happened to me years ago before I was educated and I also paid to much for what I thought was an original.🙂

Mike: oops, I missed the “GPW”. Thanks.

Luis: Your comments are good ones. I suspect anyone who has bought an old jeep has experienced the same bit of education (I know I have 🙂 ).

Dave, it was actually the seller who has 1943 Ford Willys Army jeep listed. I think some folks list this way to get more hits on the search. Makes since.

Gotcha. I see it off to the left. Sometimes I have to go through these so quickly that I miss stuff. Thanks.
