“This flat fender Jeep was born as a post-World War ll 1952 Willy’s M38 military Jeep. At some point in its life it received an all-aluminum Buick V8 (215 CID), fiberglass fenders and hood, Rancho freedom rider lift, 31×10.5×15 tires, Con-Ferr shackles, full cage, unique diamond plate type rear wrap, steps, and dash. It still has the stock transmission and transfer case with PTO. PTO winch is included. Stock axle assemblies, I do not know the gear ratios or if it has lockers/LSDs; however, it does have factory axle tags for LSD fluid required.

As you can see in the photos this is a project jeep. It was assembled and not running when I bought it many years ago. I disassembled it with plans of putting in a different engine and modernizing the suspension and brakes, I did not get much further than disassembling it.

I believe all the parts I removed are still together and are included in the sale. I do not know the condition of the drive-train internals; I would expect the engine to need a full rebuild but would not be surprised if the gearboxes just need some maintenance. The tub looks surprisingly good for being 67 years old, front floorboards will need some attention.

The engine block numbers confirm the engine came from a 1963 Buick Skylark. It is an aluminum block/head/intake 215 CID. This was a very sought after lightweight, high output version with 11:1 compression and a 4 Bbl carb from the factory.
This is a really cool Jeep and a neat piece of history. If you are unaware of what an M38 is, I suggest a quick Wiki search. I wish I had the time to invest but I do not. “

It does sound fair. Believe from description that this is torn apart but to what degree.
