“For sale – 1948 Willys pickup. Truck runs and drives well and is recently Vermont inspected. Four wheel drive, 4 cylinder Willys Go Devil L head engine, 63HP, 6 volt electrical system, foot actuated push button start, 3 speed column shift, Timken rear axle, Warner T90 3 speed transmission. Patina paint and body. Many new mechanical parts, including wiring harness, clutch, brakes, water pump, hoses, thermostat, 6 volt battery and more. Rebuilt starter. Five new 700-16 vintage-style tires from Miller Tire. Includes many surviving, rarely seen features including functioning Marvel Inverse Oiler, WO front grill guard and kerosene emergency flare. Only selling because we have too many vehicles. $7,500 or best reasonable offer.”

    Could be. I did a quick search, but didn’t run across an older post with the same ad language.

    It was for sale on Vermont CL back in March, I don’t think it ever found its way here though. I have an email record but the link is of course dead now. I absolutely remember this one as it is the same color scheme and patina/ originality level as my 1949 3a. It would make such a perfect companion, but theres no funds available for it. Previously it was listed for $9500.
