Maybe it is a frame up remanufacture with some mods better shocks springs and charging system modern for comfort and reliability that’s how I wold take it not good for a purist but maybe better to drive????

Mark, the jeep may well be better to drive than a stock version, due to some slight modifications, but then it’s no longer stock or restored. There’s nothing wrong with that. What the guys are pointing out is a language issue, not a complaint about the jeep.

In this case, the jeep has some customizations on it, thus it is no longer stock. It would be more accurate to state this was refurbished rather than restored.

But, that doesn’t mean something can’t be “custom built” and “fully restored”. For example, I think arguably that the Bantam BRC built by Duncan Rolls (http://historywithheart.com/BRC75/photosvideos.html) is a rare jeep that fits both those categories, as there was a ton of custom work necessary to recreate the original Bantam prototype.
