   In reply to John North Willys, Are we not men? we are 4 wheelers… Back in the 80’s when Devo was popular, (now some of you younger guys are asking, who is Devo?) I made up some pin on badges with that saying. Of course back then, life was different, freedom was just another word for what do you have to lose. 12 of us would pack, and I mean pack into my topless 1966 CJ5 v/6 and head down the Garden State to the Jersey shore. Listening to 102.7 WNEW Radio NYC, when we heard DEVO , all 12 of us would shout; ARE WE NOT MEN, WE ARE 4 WHEELERS. Fun times in NJ when life was mellow and affordable.

   GREAT STORY — BUT YOU DID NOT EXPLAIN WHO DEVO WAS ? — IT WAS A NEW WAVE EXPERIMENTAL BAND IN THE 80’S — FLOWER POTS ON THEIR HEADS — SOME HIT RECORDS — HERES THE JEEP ANGLE — MY BUDDY NEIL YOUNG ( AVID WILLYS JEEP COLLECTOR AND USER , SINCE THE LATE 60’S ) MADE A MOVIE WITH THE DEVO MEN — AND THE NAME DEVO STANDS FOR DE-EVOLUTION , SOMETHING I SEE EVERYDAY , PEOPLE SLEEPING IN THEIR SHOES , DE-EVOLVING — THE HUMAN GRAPH IS HEADING DOWN — SEE YOU AT THE NEANDERTHAL CAVE ??

   Maybe it’s too pretty for some of y’all, but they all left the factory looking pretty. I like it. A lot. If I could afford it and didn’t live where Jeep-destroying road salt is used in prodigious quantities, I’d be on my way to Kansas to check it out.

   Some Jeep Dealership needs to buy this and put it in the showroom.

   As for “Devo” (de-evolution) teaching high school in Calif; I can attest to this reality. Take their smartphones away and you’re left with humans relying solely on instinct much like an animals. Even now they pack up in gangs. The girls despise the idea of marriage, yet they will breed with anything, even with other girls. The babies they produce most often are left to fend for themselves to produce yet another de-evolved generation. If this is not remedied; it will be the end of this great bastion freedom; the Untied States 🇺🇸. Our Constitution, Bill of Rights and Freedom only work with a moral society.

    Is the wire coming from under the hood on the driver side and then snaking up the windshield to power the wipers? Looks like the soft top bow storage items were added to after the indoor storage time period.

    That’s a vacuum hose for the wipers, my 48 CJ2A actuly had a factory hole in the body to pass through. Filled it, hate holes.
