This looks to be a no-glove box body, so it might be an early slat grille MB. If so this won’t last long at this price. It may have a civvy engine (at least the head). If might also be a reconditioned jeep, as there is a small data plate on the dash.

“1943 Army Jeep very good condition for its age. Original early 1940s Willy’s Jeep. Mechanically it is very solid. Engine, transmission, transfer case, and high/low range, wheel hubs all work as they are supposed to. I drive this jeep around every now and then to just keep things moving. 6v original system works well. Lights and everything work as well. Call or text. If I don’t answer leave me a voicemail and I’ll get back to you. In southern Utah but make frequent trips to Logan Utah and might be able to deliver.”

Too much wrong, and too expensive to make right. Buyer beware unless they are looking for a WW11 Jeep and aren’t fussy about authenticity.`

Seems like if it is a reconditioned jeep then it would have a mix of parts and does not need to be 100% authentic and just drive and enjoy it.

An alternative perspective: It might be an *authentic* reconditioned jeep, which is both a meaningless description, due to the random nature of the parts used, and one-of-a-kind cool (again, assuming that is a recondition data plate). Of course, there’s no way of knowing for sure what was installed by a reconditioner vs. what was installed by later folks (obviously some of the gauges for starters).

But it’s still a running driving WW2 Jeep. If you want a perfect 100 point slat grill pay 30,000 not 8,500
