I wonder if these exhaust headers are home made, or does someone manufacture them for sale? Also, I wonder how much the header would help my little F Head. Every little bit helps when you only have 72 HP

I guess you have to pay extra for all the Diamond plate, and what’s with those squared off modified fenders?

Headers and a high altitude head maybe. Seems like there’s hardly room to get one exhaust pipe through that area let alone 4.

Thanks Dave, I too looked on Clifford’s web site a year or so ago and didn’t find anything for the F head. I’ll call them in the next couple days and report back if I learn anything.

I start every day with eWillys and can’t say how much I appreciate all you do. Today is the first time I’ve written in and this thread only confirms it.
    Thanks again

    Dave,

I’m glad you enjoy eWillys. I had hoped to find a specific link for a header, as that stuff always interests me, but no luck. I would be interested to hear what you find out about the header.

    Good luck!

    Dave,
I found the Fhead header in the Clifford catalog-item #57-0432 for $399,
but correspondence with Larry at Clifford, and I quote “The headers you are looking for is not in stock and I have no future plans for them.
They averaged 30% power gains and fit all 134 F&L head engines.”

So I guess I don’t have to decide if it’s worth $400. to find out if the horsepower gain is as advertised. 30% seems a little on the optimistic side.

Dave, agreed … I’d say hope for 15% and everything else is gravy. If I see one floating around I’ll try to send it your direction.
