Does anybody realize how difficult it is to find engine parts for a 225 V/6? What a waste of a engine, wine rack, candle holders, creative, but much too artsy fartsy for me. To quote DEVO, “Are we not men, we are 4 wheelers”. (play on words)

Mike, I do know how difficult those parts are to find … that’s why I shifted to using 231s!

I have yet to find just a simple part like a distributor cap for my V/6, if you go to any auto parts store, they list it. What you get is a distributor cap that looks correct, but has the notch in the wrong place as compared to my odd fire 225 distributor housing. Believe me when I say, I’ve been using the same distributor cap since 1978, for lack of finding one that fits.

I know how heavy the block is we have in stock yet alone the crank, bell, bottles and top. Someone better watch their feet when that top heavy table tips. Pitty the person’s date on the other side or whoever is watching TV in the basement below. It won’t end well. Would become a prop in a Farmers Insurance commercial … “Covered it!”

Yeah this is pretty bad. Literally any dauntless v6 I see for sale I pick up. The last one I bought on craigslist the guy sold for $75 because he had no idea the rarity. I haven’t seen another come up for sale in years

To see this as “art” hurts. I’m a carpenter by day so my belief is wood would’ve made all this furniture better.. for cheaper… and no Jeeps would’ve been harmed in the making

I’ve switched mine to HEI, so I didn’t know that finding the original caps is such a problem.

Scott … I totally (and embarrassedly) missed that .. I copied and pasted without thinking.

AJ, judging from the picture on their webpage, once again it “LOOKS” correct, big question mark there??????? The position of the distributor cap as shown in the picture as the window for points adjustment on the lower right side, good angle for full photo view. Now the big question is, when the cap is mounted to the odd fire distributor housing, that little window move to a eight o’clock position on the housing, where is the position of the notch? does it match the housing? Everything else lines up except the notch, no way of knowing till you buy it. Keep me informed. Thanks.
