This appears to have a Gov data plate on the firewall, so perhaps it was a USCG jeep at one time?

“Up for auction is a 1954 Willys Jeep CJ-3B. This is a very solid runner.

It has the 4-cylinder Hurricane with the Go Devil L-head. It has a manual 3 speed transmission. The original drive line has been completely rebuilt. Lots of receipts on engine rebuild. Engine does not leak or smoke. It has a new clutch and the axles have been gone through too.

Body is very solid. It does have a few bings and bangs.

There are new tires and new seat frames with cushions and covers. Have the original rims if preferred.

All lights and gauges work.”

What’s that on the bottom of front drivers side tire? Looks like my garage. German Shepherds.

Mechanically this looks pretty nice. Not sure what’s under drivers side front floor mat. What’s it look like underneath front floors?

Engine rebuild by previous owner. Pig in a poke.

Bob, given the condition of the rest of the body, the floors might actually be decent, but you never know until you peer under the mat …

    Klayton, I’m in agreement.

You are right Dave. From what you can see, the sides of floors do look nice. But how can one buy anything without looking at or seeing pictures of underside. Hat channels look good too? None of body pictures show any Bondo. But I think owner told me there was some Bondo. How much?

I hope he can get more than where eBay is now 6700 I think. . What do I know anyway. But my guess it’s already priced above what it’s worth. It’s all about engine rebuild. Who did what work. Did they know what they were doing?

    Bob,
Those are definitely good questions to have answered before purchase!

Statement “It has the 4 cylinder Hurricane engine with the Go Devil L head” doesn’t make sense or the seller doesn’t know squat about Jeep engines. It obviously has the F-head Hurricane 4.
