1951 Wagon San Jose, CA **SOLD**

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5400.

Seller has driven this wagon over Hwy 17. That’s a good roadworthy test. I’ve saw more accidents on that hwy in the three years I drove it than I have anywhere else.

I once saw a driver in a car right in front of me, going up hill, lose control, for seemingly no reason, and veer into the concrete median, then cross two lanes to hit the side embankment, then slam back into the median, before coming to rest in the slow lane.  I remember locking eyes with the female driver. Her eyes were big, seemingly saying, “what the hell just happened”. I also had two narrow escapes on that highway where I could have been seriously injured.

“I built this car about a year ago with my uncle. It drives, I had a blast working on it and taking it to and from Santa Cruz, yes it made it over the hill. But I just moved and can’t house it at the moment. Please let me know if you are interested”

huh ? — I used to live on hwy 17 , santa cruz mts — 1000 acre redwood wilderness , now a 31 million dollar open space preserve — that’s where this willys craze all started — right there — me and my 51 willys 473 2wd wagon , f-134 , t-96 , r-10 overdrive , spicer 23 rear axle 5.38 , planar front suspension , former san carlos city works vehicle , we drove it fast down jeep roads to make up for the no 4WD — I still have the scars to prove it , almost lost an arm , 1966 , rum , hippie vitamin tabs , also had 1st version of the I-H scout , climbed like a goat , posi , good quail hunting vehicle , flipped that over and crushed it –still ran — ken kesey would drive by in the BUS on hwy 17 — the doobie brothers would come over to the ranch for , well , you know what ? ( just look at their name ? ) we named them , got no royalties , thanks pat ? — anyways , the 51 473 looked just like the one in the ad here , just less paint and more DENTS !!
