Frank Woods Motors of which was located on South Tryon St, Charlotte is just a hop, skip and a jump from where I am in Concord. This is the main drag, (street) running north, south through downtown Charlotte, a continuation of Route 29. looking at Google pictures of that address, very different from what it is today, very yuppiefied, maybe even beyond yuppie, the hip place (not as in Hippie) to live and work. i notice a separate address for the Jeep dealership at 1215 South Mint St. also now gentrified. In today’s Charlotte, NC, A Jeep Dealership would be very much out of place.
