These photos appeared on Facebook, though some have made the rounds over the years. The pics that really caught my eye were the wooden test body pics. Kaiser Willys has some history and more pics on these wood-bodied test jeeps: https://blog.kaiserwillys.com/the-wooden-willys-jeep-test.

Photo number 10 shows the wrecked Jeep with Lieutenant General placard. Anyone know who this might have been?

Hi Joseph, about the time you posted this my puppy chewed up a model jeep ambulance which took me weeks to build correctly. When I saw how she had done it, I thought, save it, one day you might want to use it in a diorama about a medical ambulance that had run over a mine. Just last week I started it and this will be an amazing help to me both on this one, and a future Jeep wreck so thanks a lot!

    Sincerely,
    Cliff Leverette

Hi Joseph, thank you for posting this. Ironically, back in 2020 I had a new puppy chew up a model jeep ambulance which had taken me weeks to build with a casualty on stretcher, etc. When I saw the chewed up model I thought I needed to save it and one day create a diorama about a medical jeep which had run over a mine. I started it last week and when I saw these photos they are of immediate help to me. Thank you so much.

Nothing like being there years late, but to answer Joseph’s 2020 question…it was Lt. Gen Walker, killed in that Jeep in Korea.
His accident was the subject of another post here.
