1957 DJ-3A Orlando, FL No Price

This nice looking DJ-3A has a few mods, such as the wrong tailgate, incorrect turn lights. extra rear bumper, extra gauges and some changes within the engine compartment. The history listed isn’t quite right either.

“The Willys Jeep Truck is a truck made by Willys-Overland Motors from 1947 to 1965. The styling and engineering of the Jeep Truck was based on Willys’ existing vehicles, the Willys Jeep Station Wagon and the Jeep CJ-2A. The DJ-3A was introduced in 1955. It used the body style of the older CJ-3A, along with the L-134 engine. Unlike the CJ-3A, it came with either a column shift or floor shift three-speed Borg-Warner T-96 manual transmission. The DJ-3A”

I remember that portable radio from the late 60s. Cool and well made. You could take it out of the vehicle and use it as a portable radio. Same with the little fan mounted in front of the steering column. Judging from what else I see in that place, I imagine it’s over priced. Looks like the same FL place they had a pink surrey for sale for a long time.

    * You couldn’t take the fan out. Just a nice accessory of the day. Sears, Western Auto, Wards, etc.

We’ve had this DJ3A listed on our DJ3A Production / Survivor List. Lots of pictures on the Museum site, including data plate and overdrive handle. Overdrive was not an option but several times we’ve seen owners install it. Tires look large but W hubcaps seem ok with trim rings. Probably has fatter radials. As stated above, probably pretty pricy.

Yes, Glenn is correct, we have had this listed previously. It does have overdrive and is probably pricey!

I looked at the other Jeeps they have. The FC150 they have says “Billygoat Express Mt Vernon, WA” on the door. The description for FC is goofy.
