“Fun car. Head turner for sure. Great parade car. Runs and drives great. It’s 71 years old so it’s got it’s leaks and quirks but easy stuff to manage. New water pump, fuel pump and fuel filter. Three on the tree manual. Seats and top are all in really good shape. I’ve had it serviced in the last year by a mechanic. Trying to get my garage back and ready to play with something else. Serious inquiries only.”

of course the 49 model had the L-134 ” GO TO HELL DEVIL GUTLESS WONDER 63 MEASLY HP ” engine — all my old jeepsters have F-6 HURRICANE BOLTED IN , I SAID BOLTED IN , THEY BOLT RIGHT IN IF YOU HAVE THE 6 CYLINDER MOTOR MOUNTS — THE F-6 161 MAKES THE JEEPSTER AN HONEST WOMAN ( AND RACY ) !!

david you are right , the 148 cu in six was offered in 1949 , not many made , 453 ? i scrapped a 1949 station sedan to get that motor , too bad , i should have saved the wagon , but it was missing a lot of parts , like emblems and dashboard . ask anyone , the 1949 , 50 station sedan is one of the rarest willys vehicles . its too bad the jeepster was discontinued in 1951 , because the F-6 161 was made available in 1952 , it might have been a ” sports car ” ??
