“It’s time to sell my 1948 Willy’s CJ2a Jeep. Price is $14,000. Facebook won’t allow my price. I’ve owned this Jeep for about 4 years and have had a great time with it. It’s now time for someone else to enjoy.

I’ve driven this Jeep around many back roads of New Jersey sometimes putting upwards of about 150 to 200 miles on it in a weekend. It always starts and runs like a champ. Got into it in the middle of May after its long winters nap and after a couple of pumps on the accelerator pedal and a few seconds cranking the engine it sprang to life! It was restored when I purchased it but the former seller left it outside under a cover for about a year.

It has been stored inside under my ownership and is currently stored at the Monmouth Executive Airport in Wall Township. I replaced the rear brakes and wheel cylinders, installed a newly rebuilt carb when I purchased it, and replaced the battery last year. Last year I also installed 5 new rims and tires. Some of the pics show the black steel D style rims and Goodyear raised letter tires, some show the original 16″ solid black steel wheels with military style tires. The Goodyears are on the Jeep now and the original wheels are included in the sale.

It’s been in car shows, parades and a wedding and gets thumbs up where ever you go. This Willys Jeep is equipped with a 134ci “Go Devil” flat head 4 cylinder engine backed with a 3 speed manual transmission with the optional overdrive. This aftermarket installed Warn overdrive makes this a 6 speed transmission vs a factory 3 speed. The over drive unit gives you the ability to reach speeds of 50 to 55 mph, but wouldn’t recommend it!

As you can see from the photos there is no rust anywhere on the vehicle. It has a Best Top soft top and comes with a car cover. Throughout the summer I rarely have the soft top on it and love to cruise with the top off and the windshield down. The Jeep also has lockout front hubs, but while I’ve tested the 4 wheel drive, I’ve never taken it four wheeling. If it’s posted here it is still available.

If you are looking for a turn key summer cruiser this is it. Facebook would not allow the actual price. The selling price of the vehicle is $14,000. I’m not willing to entertain offers if you haven’t seen the vehicle. I would welcome you to take the time to take a look in person. It’s condition and drivability speak for itself. You couldn’t restore one for the asking price. Thanks for looking. Contact me to discuss details.
