This lacks an engine, but seems like a promising project.

“The Willys Wagon was the first mass-produced all steel passenger wagons. Faux wood paint kept the need for nails out of the carriage production, but there was a challenge. These bodies were prone to rust. Located in Portland, OR and very like a west coast only vehicle, she’s had the advantage of salt-free roads. Finding a virtual cancer free Jeep wagon is like finding a ‘Willys’ Wonka golden ticket….

The heart and sole of this project rig is the super clean and very complete body. The only rust detected during a hard review was in the passengers’ door. It is believed to be the original faux wood side and maroon exterior. All glass is present and in good condition. Mechanical function of doors, windows, hatch, rear glass and front bonnet are believed to be complete and operating proper. Chrome appears to be complete but is aged. Condition would likely be good, not great and patina is present. And how about those factory rims and hub caps!

Original and untouched upholstery is remarkably solid but for one tear/hole in the driver’s seat. Headliner is missing and surface oxidation covers the underside of the roof. Remarkable is the cockpit floor. What is believed to be the original wood inlay is just rare and ready for refinishing.
Again, there is no motor in this vehicle.

Tranny is a three-speed manual with overdrive and is out of the rig. Boxes of parts, including what appear to be mounts, linkage, etc. come with the purchase. Factory radiator is present, condition is unknown. Being a ’48, Willys only produced two-wheel drive wagons, called the venerable ‘station wagon’.”
