David share this auction or a matching M-38A1 and trailer. Looks like a good combo.

“This 1952 Willys M38A1 MD has been refinished in blue bedliner material and is powered by a Ford 302ci V8 linked to a T18 four-speed manual transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a Warn overdrive unit. The interior is equipped with bucket seats trimmed in black, and equipment includes a roll cage with a roof covering, 15″ wheels, two spares, a front tow bar, a winch, dual 15-gallon fuel tanks, and a jerrycan. An included Dunbar Kapple M-100 trailer has been modified with a rear tailgate and finished to match the truck, and a Smittybilt pop-up tent is mounted on top of the trailer. Approximately 5k miles are said to have been added since completion of the refurbishment approximately three years ago, and the current owner acquired the truck and trailer in 2014 and 2015, respectively. This modified Willys and Dunbar trailer are now offered at no reserve on dealer consignment, and both vehicles have their own California titles.”

I certainly appreciate that it is a off road fun vehicke, a true SUV (most of the units that go by that name aren’t sporty or utilitarian), but I can’t help but wish folks respected the base vehicle more.

Come on, painting the entire exterior with bed liner?

Sticking diamond plate all over (though this one seems restrained) which is usually there to hide rust instead of addressing the issue cirrectly.

The M38A1 (and CJ series) is a classic, so I wish they would think before doing anything that is more or less permanent.
