UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1500.

“1948 Willys CJ2A Jeep. $2000/obo. Sincere, old Montana jeep, surprisingly rust-free body, some bondo. No motor. Title (Helena, 1971); title says 1949 but I was informed the serial number is 1948 production. Unique, custom, well-built, steel full cab, therefore no original windshield frame or tailgate. Floors minor rust-out, bed very solid and straight, toolbox replaced. Some metal sheeting tacked on exterior of body. Original radiator and toolbox lid included. 16” rims, tires have air but need replaced”

As I replied on the 24th when you asked about a CJ in Birmingham,
You need to click on the blue highlighted Craigslist link to contact the seller.
Remember, Dave here at ewillys just
re-posts ads to give them more
visibility in the old Jeep world.
The seller probably doesn’t know the ad is here and won’t see your
    question.

The ad you replied to is 14 months old (Nov, 2022), I clicked on the link and the item is no longer available.

    Hi Leon,

It looks like this jeep has sold. The link is no longer valid and the jeep has not been relisted on Craigslist. I’ve updated the post.

    Thanks,

    – Dave

Maybe there should a big banner somewhere on this site or verbiage on every fs post that explains that the ads are ‘re syndicated’.

Majority of guys seem to be confused on that key fact.

    Hi Mike,

Thanks for the note. I used to have that verbiage on posts, but updates to the WordPress core coding wiped it out (a couple times). I also can’t add it to the overall theme, because then it would appear on pages that don’t need the code.

Based on my emails, most folks seem to understand to click on the links. However, I also get it isn’t a normal classified site, which does confuse some folks, so my solution is to do my best to answer folk’s inquiries as they arrive. This isn’t a perfect solution, as I spend more time away from the site these days, so my responses aren’t as timely, but most people seem to get how to use the site eventually (or don’t use it again).

I’m no longer trying to grow the site, but don’t want to shut it down either, as I am still able to help folks and entertain them. At this point, I’m simply maintaining it, adding content, and linking content to give a broader context to some content.

    Thanks,
    – Dave
