What a find! This is an all-original Willys-Jeep FC-170 pickup truck. It has been in California since it was new. There is minor undercarriage rust but remarkably, it has NO RUST on the body. This all-original classic has the original, unmolested seats with a matching-colored dash. Even the headliner is all intact. It has the original 226 Super Hurricane 6-cylinder engine and everything that came new from the factory. I have the parts manual, the shop service manual, and even the original Owner’s Manual. It even has the original hubcaps. Yes, cleat title.

The odometer is only 12,805 miles! One look at the condition of this vehicle and you’ll realize just what a rare bird this is to find! Anyone can fix up an old truck but finding one that is all original in such original condition is a real joy for an enthusiast.

A few interesting details. It still has the original 6-volt electrical system. No engine computer. That means it is even impervious to a powerful EMP! Did you know that it has the original Barden bumper? I’ll bet you didn’t know that it came stock from the factory with a 9′ long bed. And because it is pre-1966, it does not need to pass a smog test here in Nevada.

The “FC” stands for Forward Control. The driver and passenger sit up forward over the front wheels which makes it a real thrill to drive. It has huge windows and all the glass is clean – no cracks or discoloration. Yes, it is a 4-wheel drive with 2-wheel drive for highway travel, high-range and low range 4-wheel drive for off-road trails. As you can see, it was designed to naturally sit very high off the ground. It will “walk” over almost anything with the agility of a Billy Goat. It has tall, narrow bias-ply tires from the factory that cut down through mud, soft dirt, rocks, or gravel to get traction.

It was 100% manufactured in the USA by Willys-Jeep in Toledo, Ohio. It is no exaggeration to say that you’ll seldom see an FC-170 going down the highway. It’s a real eye-baller that turns a lot of heads. I looked for a long time to find this rare Willys pickup. The price is firm. No wiggle room because it is 100% original just as it came from the factory. It even has the original cardboard driving instruction cover over the windshield visor that came when it was new.”

    Hi Rick,

Since the link indicates the Craiglist post has been deleted, it’s safe to say this FC has sold. I’ve updated the post.
