Nice GPWs
These are nice GPWs; some are modded and some are not.
New to eWillys? Here is a very brief synopsis of this website: You can Contact Me with questions, comments or concerns. The image to the right is of my Jeep - Lost Biscuit. Learn more about eWillys, about Me or read the FAQs.
1. This website is dedicated to pre-1980s Jeeps &/or Willys, though it mostly focuses on flat-fenders (MBs, GPWs, CJ-2As, CJ-3As, CJ-3Bs, M-38s, DJ-3as). If you want to post something (your build, your jeep or sale, etc), it is easy; just contact me.
2. Most of the content on this site relates to flatties that ARE or WERE for sale on craigslist and ebay. My interest here is to help people buy & sell Jeeps & parts; to educate about 'old school' modifications and available parts; to make connections with other Willys Enthusiasts; and to entertain.
These are nice GPWs; some are modded and some are not.

“I have a 1943 Ford GPW jeep for sale ” The Original Jeep” I have painted it and done some minor repairs to it over the past few years. It has a 134 Flathead motor and it is very reliable!!!! Before I bought the jeep the previous owner sent the block to a shop to have it completely rebuilt. It has approximately 4000 miles miles on the motor and I had rebuilt the transmission and transfer case and drove it for the past 1500 miles. There is a few cancer issues with the jeep but that is kind of expected for a vehicle of this age. I had replaced the shackle’s for the springs and converted it to a 12 volt alternator system. Serious inquiries only please.”
UPDATE: Still Available
(08/26/2010) From a distance, this looks like a great price.

(06/14/2010) This looks like a nicely done upgrade. That’s a lot of power for that undersized frame.

(05/17/2010) No doubt this is actually a ’45 or earlier.
“I am selling one of my favorite weekend toys! This is listed as a 1946 Ford GPW on the title. Here are some features: Brand new battery, Brand new marine, box speakers, Tires are in great shape, New Fuel Pump, New Fuel Hose, New Air Filter, New Spark Plugs, New Rotor, New Condensor, New Points, New Coil, Oil changed recently and frequently.
Headlights, fog lights, taillights and brakelights all work. Fold flat windshield. Locking front hubs, for the four wheel drive. Two welded in ammo boxes for storage. Electric winch on the front. Great working heater. Tow bar on front bumper. Two metal, removable gas cans on the back. At sometime during its life, the original engine was swapped for a more powerful, classic Ford inline 6 cylinder. It is drivable and has been used by us recently, but could use; Accelerator Pump For The Carb. Alternator . (It runs the best with the choke set at 1/4 on)
Here are a couple short videos of the Jeep!

The bottom of the windshield is unusual; note the gap under it. I’m not sure how that is staying in place.
“This is a 1943 GPW Ford army Jeep circa WWII. When this Jeep was puchased, it was badly rusted and in severe need of a restoration. I want to stress that this is NOT a true to 1943 restoration, but its close.
The body was lifted off the frame. The frame was sandblasted and painted with enamel paint. Everything was inspected and replaced if needed. New brake lines and shocks have been installed. New brake pads, wheel cylinders, etc. The wheels were basted and new tires from Coker Tire were installed. The body was also sandblasted and any rust found was cut out and new panels weled in. The floor is new, front to back and sealed with bedliner. This was not a restoration to make this Jeep look new. We wanted a look of an active duy Jeep, so any small dings were left and minimal body work was done. The body was sprayed with the correct Green enamel. New glass was installed in the widshield. The seat were recovered in Army green canvas. New guages were installed, new steering wheel, and new wiring with late model type fuses. It has been converted to 12V. We DO NOT have the shovel and ax.
This Jeep was finished about 1 1/2 years ago, and has had roughly 450 miles put on it. The engine runs great with its new Solex carb. Trans and transfer case work great. This would be great for re-enactments or parades. if you have questions, please call me at 641-682-8469. Good Luck.”
The windshield center doesn’t quite look right or is that something unique?
“This is a 43 WWII Ford army jeep. It has been restored, new metal patch panels, tires guages, electical, steering wheel, brakes, etc. L head motor, Solex carb, 12V. Runs and drives great. Would be perfect for re-enactments and parades. Good Iowa title, street legal. call me at 641-682-8469 with questions.”
I’d like to see some closer shots of this GPW.
“1942 Jeep made by Ford. Restored in 2009. New bottom welded into body. Engine rebuilt. New wiring. New tires. New top. Good example of WWII Jeep.”

This jeep has seen a few updates.
“1942 Willys off-road jeep. It was converted 3 yrs ago to a Chevy 4.3L V-6, Ford T-18 transmission with sought after 6.32-1 granny gear and Dana 18 transfer case. Axles are a 3/4 ton Dana 44 front with detroit locker and a Dana 60 rear. They have both been completely rebuilt and narrowed with Moser axles and bearings, Heavy duty Tom Woods drive shafts front and rear with a CV style u-joint on rear. This is one of few Willys Jeeps that have been converted to coil spring with front and rear triangulated suspension. It has a awesome, smoothe off road ride with incredible articulation with no bindage. It has dual exhaust, edelbrock carb, power steering, 33″ Thornbirds, hydraulic clutch, and a large marine battery. Has a massive 200 amp alternator to run 1000 watts of lights and a Warn 9000 winch with a removable cradle to plug in front and rear. The entire drive line since new only has a couple thousand miles on it and has never been street legal or taken to the beach. This Jeep has only been used in the Winter on a 200 acre deer lease for the past few years and stored inside during the summer. I’m no longer paying the high prices for deer leases and decided to sell my Willy and buy a street legal CJ7. Im firm on the 7000 and if it doesn’t sell, I’ll just convert it to street legal. (979)239-8862 ”
This looks very nice from what I can see. At first I thought those were tool indents on the passenger side, but now I think I was seeing an optical illusion. I can’t see a drain hold and it appears to have a floating rear hub, so I’m gonna guess this is a MB or GPW.
