The author of this review evaluated his time driving in a 2WD wagon.
Took Racer for a Pasture Spin
Looking out over the pasture, I see lots of green, but don’t see all that much cow shit. So, I didn’t think I’d hit all that many piles racing around it. Welp, those tires found plenty of piles and threw it all over me and the jeep.
This was the first time I ran it in 4WD. That worked flawlessly. As for control and driving, I found the racer felt really balanced and smooth, despite the bumps (the pasture isn’t all that even). The steering is a little stiff, but that feels great when going faster.
It seemed like it was missing a bit as I hit higher RPMs; I couldn’t decide if that was caused by the bumps disrupting the gas flow in the carb or by a timing issue. We’ll figure it out.
At the end of the video I realized that the fan wasn’t working (it turned out to be a loose connection), so I was trying to get Ann to open the gate, but she decided she would film me while pretending to not hear me, lol … she is a merry prankster!

The tires are original type, matching spare and tow bar on front. Very solid jeep…needs nothing! During World War II, Jeep could not keep up with the demand needed during the campaign, so Ford contracted with the government to make 300,000 Ford GPW Jeeps using Jeep parts and design. 1942 Hood River, OR $5000
It doesn’t run.
https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1449550218950090/
“I have a 1942 Ford JP. Clean title in hand. Not Original Engine. These were made by Ford during WWll and were used in war frequently. This Jeep doesn’t run but it ran when it was parked years ago. Haven’t really tried to start it because there isn’t a battery. It is a 3 speed manual. It has a dual case, and front locking hubs. This Jeep is very very rare, yes it doesn’t run but everything else is there. Body is straight, tires hold air, engine and tranny are there ect…. I won’t respond to “is this still available” not in a hurry to sell, looking for the right deal as this Jeep is very rare and is 81 years old. Number of miles is unknown You will need to bring a trailer”

“Very Rare 1960 Jeep FC150 ( Foward control) Honestly, a bit of a sweet basket case. Small block Chevy (poss 327) in unknown condition, military pto winch, short bed, mostly complete, unfinished axle swap, not a roller..Not much rust, no title with bill of sale. (I bought several cars from an estate and can’t keep them all.) Super cool, hard to find and a solid project worth the fight. Maybe modify to newer Jeep chassis? Could be absolutely bitchin! Priced accordingly $2800. Always consider offers and trades.”

1950 CJ-3A & 1947 CJ-2A Hubbard, OR $2750
UPDATE: Price dropped to $2750.
The CJ-2A’s body is wood from a Sears & Roebuck kit. Seems we have run across one of those kits before.
https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/284503224135801
“Package deal of tona of parts and three Willy’s Jeeps. One ’47 CJ2A (white) complete but half the body is a plywood kit from Sears Roebuck. No title. Engine has lots of rust but repairable with a hot tank and time. Needs work but good frame and lots of good parts, or make it run again if you want.
One ’47 CJ2A just the body have the windshield, fenders, grille, seats, tailgate, and other metal for it.
And one ’50 CJ3A complete with title runs and drives but has bad tires, no brakes, no steering (the front crossmember is busted off, planned to chassis swap with the white 2A.) Grille is unbolted as is left fender to work on car. Has new starter and new ignition parts. Runs like a top stock fuel pump even works.
Planned to use the running gear from green one, body of the tub and parts, and chassis from the white one to make one nice stock jeep easily then use the remaining parts to build the remaining parts into crawlers or something fun.
Parts include:
Engine block in good shape will need cleaned up, cranks, cams, pistons, rods, oil pans, transfer cases, I think transmission, drive shafts, radiator, tons of body metal such as hoods fenders doors windshields (including glass) tailgates, parts to put a canvas top on, basically three entire jeeps worth of parts including lots of new parts worth ~450 from Kaiser Willy’s with receipt.
May split stuff. Yes the VW stuff is for sale too.

5 9×16 Rims Beavercreek, OR $250
Maybe someone can use these?
https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/884726433078458
“Up for sale is a complete set (4 plus your spare) of vintage steel tire rims. Size is approximately 9×16. Standard flat fender jeep brake drums are 9 inch drums with a bolt pattern of 5 X 5.5”. These rims will fit any jeep made from 1941-1960’s. These came off a 1948 CJ2A I restored a few years back. I went back to factory size on that jeep so I had these left over… All 5 rims are in solid condition and will hold air no problems. They have typically type surface rust you would expect to find on a vintage steel rim but they are straight and again, will take new tires with no issues. I sprayed on a coat of black paint a few years ago just for added protection. I’m guessing new owner will blast them down metal and start fresh so I haven’t put any time into them other than a good pressure washing. Rims have been stored inside my shop so they have been out of the weather since I’ve had them. Price is $250.00 bucks firm ($50 each) and not looking to trade. Cash is king. Make note I’m happy to meet up in Oregon city by the high school so you don’t have to make the long drive out to my shop. PM me for any questions or if you want to set up a time to meet. Good solid set of rims that are ready for mounting on your vintage rig. If you are looking for original size rims for your flat fender jeep, let me know as I have dozens available…”

1962 Willys Interlagos Convertible Costa Mesa, CA BaT
UPDATE: Blaine confirms this was Dan’s car previously. It did not reach the reserve, with bids maxing out at $43,000.
Blaine spotted this 1962 Willys convertible Interlagos, which sits as $23,000 with 3 hours left in the Bring-A-Trailer auction.

1958? Economy Delivery Brochure and Press Photos
Over the past couple of days I’ve turn my attention to the disaster that is the ‘jeep’ office. My library of non jeep books and jeep books and jeep toys and other jeep stuff has remained mostly stored for the past two years in this tiny office that’s part of the shop. This is one room that has undergone almost no remodeling … and it shows.
I’ve made some progress (just putting up the books and binders in bookcases has made a difference. One of the side benefits of doing this is finding stuff that I have yet to post, such as the pics and Boyertown Economy Delivery brochure below …
One of the jeep photos appears to have a plate dated 1958, so that’s how I am dating this package.
