“This old jeep runs and drives! It’s licensed with new plates and has new none directional tires with less than 50 miles on them. I had the carb rebuilt a month ago. Still needs a little fine tune. I have a tow bar that fits it great so if you have a two inch ball on your truck your ready to pull it home. The old jeep also has a new battery. I’m open to trade for old rat rods,model a truck or coupe,or old cushmans. I’m not really looking for much else, cash is always best. My very best price is 2,900 firm. Here’s a stock CJ-2A that sold this afternoon.

“Nice original, unmolested 1946 Willys CJ-2A Jeep. This Jeep was owned by a local service station for many, many years, and spent much of its life stored inside. When the owner died, a co-worker and I purchased it and stored it in his garage. He began replacing some of the safety items like brakes and fuel tank, but lost his garage space to his wifes car. I bought him out, and had planned to finish the couple items but do not have time. The engine was running before the old rusty fuel tank was removed. It turns over with good compression, and has spark. The new fuel tank needs to be installed, and a new fuel line run. He also did some work to the brakes, but the lines are not finished (I think he replaced all the shoes and cylinders),. There is also some wiring that need to be replaced (cloth covering rotted)….”

“I have owned this Willys for the last 38 year it has always been garaged. We have had many years of fun with our Willys Hunting, Fishing, and trail riding. The engine was updated to a 1965 chevy 327 2V. in the late 70’s. Saganaw steering box, 12 Volt electrical, heater, 60’s  T-bird bucket seats, Winch, and a Custom towing rig attached to the Willys.”

This is pretty stock, but it’s also got some project left.  It looks more like the pic on the right than the one on the left right now.

“FS: 47 Willys CJ2A Located in Las Vegas,NV $3500.  Very Original very complete. Had Radiator re-cored and gas tank boiled, new fuel pump installed. Engine compartment is complete, rebuilt WO Carburator, all original seats. 6 Volt system Generator and regulator. 5 original 6.00 X 16 Goodyear NDT (3 spare Goodyear tires) Mounted. Matching freshly painted 16 inch wheels( yellow ). Front fenders and Grill removed and stripped. Have a Repro wiring Harness ready to install. Repro Bow for top, all seats original including back seat. Correctly titled with matching serial number plates on fire wall. Haven’t put it all back together, so currently is not running.”

(02/18/10) This looks pretty good. I’m betting some different springs have been added.  It sure doesn’t appear that their is enough length in the rear axle to properly handle the spring when it’s extended all the way.  However, that could just be an illusion.
