Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Own a piece of history! This 1954 Willys CJ-3B Jeep is in fantastic condition and is a head-turner for sure. The restoration has resulted in a nearly original Jeep. Paint is good and no body work needed. Original F-Head motor. Throwback 7.00×15 mud grips with tons of tread including spare mounted on side as it was in 1954. Top is in decent and workable shape. Here is the new stuff… seats, steering wheel, Warn locking hubs, speedo, small parts tranny rebuild kit, turn signals, wipers/motors, clutch linkage, fuel system (tank, lines, pump), new (not rebuilt) Carter YC carb. There is a WORKING PTO vintage winch that you have never seen before that is operated from PTO lever in cab. It drives true and straight with NO road wondering. Tight steering linkage. The hi/lo transfer case and 4WD work perfectly. Solid brakes/new pads. New exhaust system. Roll Bar. All light and signals functional. Original Harrison heater works great. Tow bar an skid plate included.”

“1963 Willys CJ3B Jeep
This is an original High Hood, Flat Fender, Four Wheel Drive, Universal Jeep from Willys. It is VERY unique and reasonably rare (in this condition). It turns more heads than a Lamborghini Gallardo. If you are shy and don’t like attention, this car may not be for you.
It came off a farm in Virginia. A friend and I restored it and removed all Bondo patches and replaced them with steel. Our goal was to take it back to as original condition as possible. All original running gear. 4 Wheel Drive system works fine. Manual Lockout hubs. Correct lights and heater. It has a “Granny’ gear that will climb a tree.
I am looking to trade it for a 1940 through 1956 Pick-Up truck (Any size up to 3 ton) with:
-Ford, Chevrolet or Dodge
-Mostly or all original (No modifications that can be seen)
-Running and driving
-Good interior
-Solid body and frame
-Good paint.
-It doesn’t need to be SHOW condition.”

(08/05/2013) Here’s a beautiful CJ-3B. It looks like it might have a government plate on the dash next to the standard data plate.
“A fully restored Jeep that has spent it’s life in Oregon and Arizona. This jeep was frame off restored in 2010 in Arizona and has too many new parts to mention! New parts include paint, interior, gauges, steering wheel, winshield glass and rubber, seats, complete wiring harness, new electrics to include starter, alternator, battery, all switches, complete new braking system to include master cylinder, lines, hoses, wheel cylinders, shoes, drums, complete new cooling system to include new radiator, hoses, water pump, belts, thermostat, all new fluids in engine, trans, differentials, all new tuneup parts, new gas tank, sender, gas lines, 4 new tires on powder coated rims, all new exhaust system, engine has a tag showing a rebuild approximately 15k miles ago.”

Runs and drives. Listed as a 1952, I suspect the seller may have meant 1962, because it isn’t an early 3B.

“I have a 1964 Kaiser Jeep Willys CJ3b that is all stock.. I bought it from a guy who had assembled it after being in a crate from the military. I bought it some 12 years ago where it has sat in a garage for all these years due to other projects. I have finally came to the realization I’m not going to get to it nor use it. It is currently not running although I did have it running a months back but the fuel line and carb are clogged.”

“Great Jeep to drive or restore. Jeep has been mostly untouched and all original equipment is in factory location. I have not had the time to restore the jeep like I was hoping I would. The jeep still has factory paint from when it was built. Jeep has never been restored and still runs. I have drove the jeep in the yard have never had it on the road due to the condition of tires.
Jeep will not last long. This jeep is the best example I have seen as far as condition and originality. If you call please do so after 1pm.”

“Super rare CJ3B, with brand new freshly rebuilt F-134 motor with less than 1000 miles on it. Smooth shifting T-90 3 speed manual Transmission was rebuilt along with new clutch and throw out bearing at the same time and I have receipts for all of it. Includes Warn overdrive so it’ll do 70 on the freeway all day… Upgraded to Power Brakes, with new shoes on all 4 corners. New Exhaust, Fresh paint with rhino lined interior. All new front end bushings with new bell crank, drag link, and Saginaw Steering Box so no willys wobble and steers very straight and nice.

“It’s time to change toys. I would like 30-50 ford or Chevy pickup driver. My cj is real nice. Mostly original, converted to 12v.. Still has the “f” head. Great 16″ tires (basically new). Full soft top and bikini top. Will pay extra for the right truck.”
