Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “I have a fc-150 Jeep cabover 4×4 pick up, just picked it up with intentions of redoing it but have to put my time and energy into my other projects. Has a inline 4 with a 3 speed, body is a little ruff it has very little rust just a lot of dents. Haven’t tried turning the motor over so unsure of the conditions of the motor but is complete, no title will come with a bill of sale. Marc forwarded this rare photo of a unique FC.
“This is an old Chicago Sun-Times staff photo of the very unique Thompson Jeep Leveloader Truck in Action. See the Scans. Measures 8″ x 10″.”
The company also built a leveloder out of a Chevrolet truck. This brochure is on Amazon. This brochure better shows on the truck can shift from being level with a loading dock to being level with a sidewalk.

“1965 Jeep FC-170 and 1975 Jeep Cherokee The Cherokee runs and drives good but very rusty. 258 with a 3-speed.Needs rockers and floor pans.I have all the new parts to fix it including new fuel tank no time.to work on. The FC is very rusty like most of them but is complete other than the rear body this truck used to be a phone company truck so it had a utility body once upon a time. $7500 takes them both.no trades please. “Jeep FC-170 long wheelbase. Super Hurricane straight 6 engine, 4wd, flatbed, set up for hydraulic dump bed but not fully hooked up. Starts and runs really sweetly, engine idles around 600rpm. New windshield. Lots of body work done on a reproduction cab.”

“This just came off my 1962 Willys Jeep FC. Truck is NOT for sale. It could be installed on something else I suppose. It was installed On the Jeep at the Cleveland, Ohio Willys Overland Factory and the original owner drove it to Twain Harte the story goes. It is a neat piece. It is 9 feet long with the wheel well 71- 72 in on center from the front. It’s width is 74 1/2. It is44 in tall It has three big boxes per side with some rust in the bottom. I can’t remember seeing any rust through. It has a huge (32 in tall by 4 feet wide) covered compartment in the center with a sliding lid plus a tailgate. The rack is off of it and Unbolted in pieces. The rack can be thrown in. I don’t need to sell it just could use the space. I am firm in the price as I think it is fair.”
Seller won’t separate. The flatbed has a dually setup in the rear.

Is this rig formerly this rig? The one at the other link is on a 1990 Isuzu chassis with a tilt cab, while the one below is on a 2000 Isuzu chassis and doesn’t appear to tilt.
“This is a project I’ve been kicking around on selling. I’ve just lost interest in it. It’s a 1962 Jeep fc170 cab i set on a 2000 Isuzu diesel box truck. It’s more than half way complete and I’m just tired of looking at it sit around. I have countless hours in this Jeep. The rear axel is just a floating axel 4 linked to trail behind, 5th wheel off of a Peterbilt, custom diamond stacks. I could tell you anything you wanted to know about it. It has no title but it’s not a hard process to do a builders title with a bill of sale 4500 firm and no I will not trade for anything cash only.”

“Very good condition for 55 years old Original pto , 3rd owner . Originally A fire/ rescue truck , still have the water tank , & still have 4out of 5 of the holders that it filled for the firefighters to put a forest fire out The Briggs & Stratton that pumped the men’s backpacks full of water . Don’t have the backpack extinguishers though Ran great 2 years ago Started up today What’s it worth to someone ? I’ve had 20 years & it’s never been on the road since I’ve owned it Sold my mountain so no where to use it . Also have a plow for it”

Bill’s got this FC-170 chassis for sale.
“I have a chassis, steering box, transmission and transfer case and both front and rear axles. I have an engine that would require rebuilding. I’m asking $400 for everything.
