“1947 Willys CJ2. I got this 5 years ago and haven’t done much to it. It has a rebuilt carb, new gas lines, new gas tank, tires are a two years old and has a lot of life left, new ignition, added a overfill tank for the radiator, and redone the wiring. All lights work( headlights, tail lights and brake lights). Seat were done before I got it. Rhino lined the floor. Nothing special about the paint. We got it for my youngest son to do car shows. Never been trailered aways drove it to the shows with no problem. 100+ round trip miles. No longer interested in shows and hate to see it just sit. Use it now once a week to go fishing. Comes with a lot of parts don’t know much about them got them when I got the jeep. Title is clean and clear”

(from previous ad) … “Great Fun! Has been in the family over 40 years. It runs, has full roll bar, front and back towing. 2 sets of tires and rims. It has been kept in storage. My father told me it was a 4 cylinder plymouth engine. It is a 4 wheel 3 speed. It has very low mileage. Enjoyable as it is or easily made to look like new. No cracks in the windshield. The original serial numbers are on the under carriage with the 5 pointed star at the beginning and end of the sequence. It has a clear title and has been put on non-op as I cannot drive it anymore because of numerous back surgeries. I will miss it. I learned to drive on it when I was 9 years old. I hope to find it a good home. Some seal are dry and need greasing. You can make an appt to see it. Contact me through my email.”
Seems a good price. It looks later than 41.

“1945 Willies Jeep
Military Grade
Original 4 Cylinder Motor – VINs match
Original 6 volt system
Rust Free
Canvas Top
Canvas Seats
Runs and drives well”
This may be a GPW, as I think I see a GPW crossmember on it. The engine has a CJ head and a later oil filter bracket, so it appears not to be the completely original engine.

UPDATE: As of July 13, 2021, this GPW APU is now in Stefan’s hands in Germany. As you can see, by the time he acquired it parts had already been removed (see original post from 2017 at the bottom of this post). He does not want the APU parts. I figured it is a long shot, but that I would check to see if anyone had an interest in the APU-related parts (some are O.E. Szekely); Stefan is willing to part with them. Comment below if interested or email me at d@deilers.com and I’ll connect you with Stefan.
Here’s how the jeep looked prior to pulling the parts:

“50’s military Jeep converted to a plow rig and grader. Has power up and down grader blade on rear of Jeep. Plow on front , hydraulic up and down. No turn pistons on at the moment but the lines are there to install. Plowed twice with Jeep. It’s a beast. Took in trade. The guy I traded with said he noticed a clicking noise in front end. Removed cover and said one tooth missing from ring gear. I haven’t been into it to see what is going on. I plowed with it in 4×4 and it was fine. Needs 4 glow plugs installed which I have. It’s a diesel. Motor is a 4 cylinder Ford Has a roll cage. Cool rig for a camp or farm. Well built. Firm on price. Thanks for looking. Runs excellent. Has small fuel leak on very top of injector pump. O-ring on top shaft. Easy fix for someone who is mechanical. I have a plow truck. Just don’t need this. Come check it out.4 new tires. Will consider a trade for a decent quad with plow”

“War hero. serial number starts with 20 followed by a 2 or 3 . the rest is not legible. that means it is a early 43. Very Rusty. Needs tub pans front and back. Missing back seat and front seats are toast. As the pictures show it has a lot of original ww2 stuff on it. If you don’t know what this is, then please don’t ask a lot of questions. If you aren’t somebody who builds these then you should look for less of a project. Pictures are clear. It rolls.”
