Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. No combat/solid rims, but would make someone a good parade jeep.
“Willys MB Army jeep
Runs well, drives and stops. It’s a great reenacting or parade jeep. It has a machine gun mount on the fender step as well. It needs a little touching up here and there as seen in the photos. Come take a look.
The machine gun in the pictures is a wooden replica and is included.”

Listed as a 1946, it has a 2A windshield. The rest appears to be MB. More refurb than restored.

“1943 Willys MB Jeep, ¼ ton, 4×4. 12-volt electrical system. This Jeep has mostly original parts. The engine was totally rebuilt about 7 years ago from the ground up. All new pistons, rings, cam, bearings, oil pump and gaskets. Transmission was totally replaced 10 years ago. Tires have over 50% rubber.
The tub is original. It has several repairs.
This is a turn-key vehicle with many extras, including:
An extra hood

“Selling a real nice older restoration 1943 Willys MB jeep. It runs great and is used in parades and local car shows. I am restoring another vehicle and need the room in my shop. It has a correct original tub, WW2 engine, transmission and transfer case, correct original combat rims, and many other items. It has a clear title with it. It has been converted to 12 volts but comes with correct 6 volt generator and voltage regulator if someone wants to make it back to WW2 era specifications.”

Glenn spotted this on Hemmings. I looked for a similar example from a brochure and magazine, but didn’t located one. The closed ting I found was the Baby-Jeep-Duriez from France.

This is an original WW2 Jeep brought over from Europe in 2010. It was restored sometime in the late 80’s to early 90’s in Belgium. I bought it in Germany from one of my high school teachers in 2005 and over the years it has become part of the family. I have put a lot of time and money into this vehicle and hate to see it go but my life has taken an unexpected turn and the wife says I can’t sell one of the kids so here it is.

Starts, runs, shifts, steers, and stops great. No excessive smoke or leaks, no popping out of gear, and no rust. Primed with Rustoleum red oxide and finished with three coats of Gillespie 319. New repro (Beachwood OD 3) canvas seats. This is not a trailer queen. Turns heads in parades, at car shows, or as a daily runabout from April to October. Stored in heated garage on trickle charger every winter. If you’re a military buff, this jeep is ready for the hood and bumper stencils of your choice. “This is a vintage World War II Jeep that was restored approximately 10 years ago. Original frame, chassis, driveline, transmission, transfer case, etc. Engine is period correct, but not original. I believe a new body was installed during the restoration. Vehicle runs and drives well, including the 4 wheel drive system. ”

“Restored 1942 Willy’s Military Jeep. This jeep was restored about 10 years ago to full military dress. It has a new tub and fenders. It has very few miles on it and has always been garaged and maintained. All mechanicals are in excellent working order and it’s very fun to drive. I call this a parade jeep because it has glossy paint that is easy to keep clean and looks nice in parades but irritates the purists. There are also a few scratches and other details that make it a nice parade Jeep but not necessarily a show winner. If you’re looking for show winner, this one isn’t for you. But if you want a nice driver, this is your Jeep”

“1944 Willy’s Military MB2A. Rebuilt in the late 90’s. Ford 302 engine, 2 bbl carb. full exhaust, T90 tranny (less than 500 mi. on overhaul), w/overdrive (for street use). Stock differentials (approx. 5:56 gears) 10 inch brakes, power steering, 6 point roll cage, full canvas top, 8G warn winch. Street tires in ex. shape. These pics are a few years old. The truck runs fine, but needs paint and some TLC. Price is firm.”
