About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

“Listing for a friend. You are looking at a very nice and well detailed 1956 Willys Station Wagon. It is the 4 wheel drive with the Continental 226 engine. It has had a very nice restoration including brand new interior with great attention to detail. Powdercoated seat frames, new upholstery, headliner, floor, etc. All new chrome along with updated stereo as well. New chrome grill. Also has brand new tires including the spare. Paint shows very nice, although has minor rust showing above drivers rear wheel well and bottom right of rear hatch. It also has new wiring and generator under the hood. Attention to detail on this truck is apparent throughout.
The bad part and reason for the very low price, is while enjoying all this fresh work, the engine let go with one of it’s rod bearings and will need a rebuild. It is all complete and has not been pulled out, my friend is just done with it and ready to just move on from it now. No expense has been spared and you will not be dissapointed. Asking 14,000”

This Willys is not perfect, but for a 1949 vehicle, it is pretty darn nice.”
“This is a western car that was brought East. It is the original body mated to an 83 Ford Ranger chassis and uses the Ford running gear, V6 and automatic. Lots of changes like reversed doors, power windows, electric wipers, power seat, remote door openers, custom taillights, custom bumpers, tinted glass, dual exhausts, custom paint and more. This is a street rod and it is licensed and on the road, driven only in the summer but driven everywhere. It runs along fine on the turnpikes and keeps up with traffic at any legal speed. I am downsizing my collection so I am not interested in any trades.”

“Restored with a few “retro” touches to upscale the original utilitarian post-war Station Wagon targeted to GI’s that came of age with the companies Jeep.
This is one of the last 400 1949 Willys produced – with the curved rear wheel wells (before they were squared off for the 1950 model year) and 1949 style gauge cluster. As such, it was originally titled as a 1950, likely coinciding with the actual sales date as was common at the time.
About the build:
First, you’ll note the Custom hand painted woodgrain and retro interior. The woodgrain finishes the faux paneling design originally incorporated by Willys.
The engine is the F-134 Hurricane OHV 4 cylinder, first introduced in the wagons in 1950 as an upgrade to the flathead 134 Go Devil. This is backed by a 3 speed manual, connected to the rare Borg Warner overdrive, which makes it into essentially a 6 speed (overdrive is enabled in every gear based on rpm and engagement of a switch under the accelerator).
Additionally, tons of new parts went into this build: Continue reading →
Mike shared this unusual wagon that was supposed to be one of seven modified for use by the US military in Austria (I thought Holden modified wagons in Australia??).
“Extremely rare version from the production in the Holden plant Australia. It was only 7 pieces produced !!! Please compare that you have Google images, they will not be found. Special attention to the moldings and door buckles. 100% rarity with rarity value, value increase etc. etc. 89,200 KM
The vehicle is from military use of the US Army in Austria during the occupation and was one of the oldest military vehicles of the Austrian. Society of the Red Cross in 1951 in Austria.”

UPDATE: John spotted this video. This 8×8 was last listed on eBay and sold for $11,100. It was relisted in 2014, at which time the video below was posted. I believe this sold, as it is no longer listed on the seller’s website.
(08/11/2012) “Built by legendary fabricator Dick Cook out of California be sure this rig was was put together the correct way! Known for his collaboration on the mechanical side of cars built with legendary 70’s car builder “Big Daddy Ross” his name is synonymous with multi-axle vehicles. This build includes the following:
-2 Overland wagons and 1 Jeep used to build this amazing Overland Custom
-Rebuilt 327 Corvette engine powers ALL 8 Wheels!
-Fuel Cell inside
-2 Leather Bucket Seats
-White face gusges
-Working emaergency sirens and lights
In full disclosure, the items that are not 100% show quality as follows:
-There is a bit of overspray on the drivers side
-The interior could use some TLC to get to show quality
This Willys will literally go anywhere, and it has. Dick Cook personally drove this rig with his daughter from Crested Butte Colorado all the way over the pass to Aspen only a few years ago for a road trip. With the option of locking out the rear 4 wheels this rig will motor down the highway at 65 mph. Also has one of the best turning capabilities of any auto out there. It will “crab” down the road in a parade or 8 wheel steer itself out of any trail corner. Bid now and be the owner of this one of a kind WIllys 8X8 Overland before it makes its way to Barrett Jackson Las Vegas and goes for who know how much!”
“This 1949 Willys station wagon is a 2-wheel drive example powered by a 134ci L-head inline-four mated to a 3-speed manual transmission with overdrive. The truck was reportedly refurbished by its previous owner with mechanical overhauls, a repaint inside and out, new upholstery, and more. It was acquired four years ago by the seller, who has since stored it indoors as part of a large collection and has driven it about 300 miles. An oil change and chassis lubrication were performed in 2017. This Willys is offered with a clean California title in the seller’s name.”
“This is a classic!! The first year they made 4 wheel drive for the wagon. It has an overdrive and gets up to 55MPH. Great in sand and snow. It is all original with exception of rear and front directional lights. Needs nothing. Lots of fun. Bought a 1988 Grand Wagoneer so I am not using this one anymore.”
“Up for sale is a great looking Willys Panel. Here are a parcel list about the truck Ford 302 crate motor-AOD Transmisson-373gears-Ford ranger front clip and rear end Aluminum radiator with electric fan-New wire harness-Vintage air-Dolphin gauge-Tinted glass all around. The graphics are on vinyl and can be remove.”
“1951 willys wagon. This wagon was restored in the early 2000s. Has some rat-rod embellishments, like the turn signals. Mustang “cleveland” engine and automatic transmission, edelbrock carb, air shocks. Not perfect, not completely restored but closer than most.”
“1950 2wd willys station wagon. it has a camaro front clip with power front disc brakes, camaro rear end and a 1958, 283 v8 with a automatic transmission. runs and drive very nice. I do believe it needs some front end work to make it drive perfect. The only reason we are selling it is, it is to small to pull our vintage travel trailer.”
“willys two wheel drive wagon drives nice Toyota 4cyl. engine and 5 speed tranny front disc brakes . 4.27 rear end 1960 with earlier 5 bar grill. goes down the freeway nice. great on gas .”
“A very special preservation of a nice station wagon. Body work done about 2000, including cab floor replacement w/ plate steel. New lacquer paint 2017. Engine professionally replaced 1 yr ago with good running Mercedes 3.0 5 cylinder diesel and Mercedes automatic transmission, including new driveline. New exhaust system. Electric fan w/ oil and transmission cooler. Interior done in the style of vintage woodies, with slat roof. Its 90% done, here’s what it needs still: heater installed (its provided). Some side glass replacement (wind wings, drivers side.) Needs better rear axle ratio– its now 4.88 and the MB transmission is geared to something like 3.49 to achieve a highway capable speed. Rear bumper is older chrome and is aged. Brakes all good and working, new master cylinder included for a later date if needed. Clean WA title. Its a very nice preservation, made for fun and touring.”
“80’s camaro front clip, power front disc brakes, 283 v8 with a automatic trans. Ready to drive as is or make it your own. I believe the last image are the original colors. $12,500.00”
